Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
Chatswood Public School nurtures confident and responsible individuals who are inspired to achieve their full potential. Founded in 1883, our school is located on Sydney’s North Shore and today enrols over 1000 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. With 93% of our students from non-English speaking backgrounds, our community reflects rich cultural diversity, primarily Chinese, Korean and Indian, which we proudly celebrate and embrace.
At Chatswood PS, high expectations underpin everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that every student is challenged in their learning each day, with strong foundations in literacy and numeracy supported by evidence-based teaching practices. Programs such as our two Opportunity Classes, Korean bilingual program, and Inclusive Hub ensure all learners are known, valued and supported.
Beyond the classroom, students thrive in music, creative arts, sport and a wide range of enrichment opportunities. Supportive relationships between staff, students and families create a safe, respectful and inclusive environment where progress is celebrated. Our vision is to instil a lifelong love of learning, enabling every child to grow, achieve and flourish.
I warmly welcome you to find out more about our school or join us on a tour to see firsthand what makes Chatswood Public School such a vibrant place to learn and grow.
Warm regards,
Mr Cameron Jones,
Principal of Chatswood Public School
