Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.
Canteen
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Our school canteen
The Chatswood Public School Canteen is open five days a week for morning tea and lunch. It is run by a parent committee and is staffed by a manager and parent volunteers. A range of healthy lunches and snacks are provided.
Lunch and Recess are ordered from the school canteen by using our online system, School24. They are delivered to the classrooms prior to the lunch bell at 12:40pm.

Follow the instructions and set up an account. Please note that eftpos is not available.
Deposit required funds
To put funds in your account, log into your School 24 account and follow these instructions:
- Select “Top-up” from the main menu.
- Select “Pay using credit card”. You can use Visa or Mastercard.
- Select your top-up amount from the drop-down menu. The minimum is $10.
- Follow the instructions on the page to pay by credit card.
- Funds will be topped up in your account to use straight away.
Please note: A bank fee surcharge of 1.5% + 30cents applies. This surcharge is to cover the costs associated with accepting these cards and is not a fee from School24 or the canteen.
Uniforms
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
is suitable for all body shapes.

Our facilities
The Grounds
The school is set in landscaped grounds. Students enjoy playing on the synthetic grassed areas, sandpit, play equipment and our multi-purpose court.
The Classrooms
Our classrooms are engaging, well resourced learning spaces. Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard. Computers, netbooks and iPads are also available for class use.
The Library
Our library is located in the Adminstration building and is well resourced. During library lessons students utilise iPads and computers to complete tasks. Students are encouraged to develop a love of reading and to borrow books regularly.
Bush campus
The Bush Campus is located on the grounds of Chatswood High School and is currently home to our Year 3 and 4 classes. It has been an excellent addition to our school, providing well resourced classrooms in a beautiful environment.

Hiring our facilities
You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring of the facility doesn't interfere with our teaching and learning programs.
